Ten Timers

Easy, easy. I said ten timers, not two timers. As soon as the term two timer was uttered about 3,000 heads perked up. Must have hit home with a lot of you. But a ten timer is a $50 bet, based on the fact at each "time" is considered a $5 wager; it would mean a ten timer is a $50 bet.

A 20 timer is a $100 bet, a 5-timer is a $25 bet, and a two timer is well, you know what that is.

I just don't want you hanging your heads because you are forced to bet only five or ten timers. We've all gone through these times. In fact, there are many, many times today when I'll put in a $50 bet.

When I'm going cold, why should I not bet lower? Besides, who said $50 on a ballgame was a sign of weakness? Personally, I think it's a show of strength of character.

Do you think the pros bet $1000 a game day after day? Do you think pro Crap players lay $110 inside on every single shooter?

No on both counts. A bad run and they're in trouble city. You'll see professional Craps shooters betting $6 six and eight and raising their bets ONLY after a roll settles in.

Betting five timers on football games has a two pronged plus factor. If you lose, it's only $30 (vig included). If you win, you have $25 to invest on the new game with limited financial risk, depending on how much you bet.

There is no disgrace in betting 5 and 10 timer just because of your disciplined approach to your financial standing.

There is also no disgrace in wearing elevate shoes, dying your hair, wearing a wig, getting a face lift. Wearing shoulder pads, wearing glasses, or lying ado, your age. All of these are meant to keep you in step with how you want to compete in the world.

Betting small is also not a disgrace, and telling people you are a big bettor because you are ashamed to tell the truth makes you nothing more than a rotten liar.

There is no reason to lie about anything you do. All of the things I just mentioned are done by millions of people and we're all proud of what we do because I makes us feel better about ourselves. I haven't been around too long and would never stop to lying about anything.

Right now I'm 22 years old, but when I reach fifties I sure ain't gonna lie about it. I got class.

If you're short in the money bracket, accept it. Make your 5 and 10 time bets and build up the Bankroll.

Keep losses down and avoid the panic that comes when a big loss puts you in big trouble. It ain't worth it.

I don't lie about what I bet, how much I win close, or how many times Sophia Loren slammed the phone down on me.

But I did lie about my age I'm 23. I don' t know why people worry about age.
